How to Avoid Cash Paid Survey Scams
February 28th, 2008
Online surveys have taken off as a big way of earning extra cash. A large number of people join paid and free cash survey sites in order to earn some easy extra income. Almost anyone and everyone can sign up with internet based survey sites and get paid for taking surveys. In fact, a large number of people are benefiting hugely from these sites by earning at least a few hundred dollars every month just through taking paid surveys. However, there are an extremely large number of paid survey sites that have turned out to be big scams. Even as you are reading this, there are hundreds of scammers who are cheating innocent people out of their hard earned money through paid survey sites.
If you also want to make money by taking cash paid surveys without being fooled by a scam, then there are a number of things that you need to know. The first thing that you should be aware of is that paid survey sites can be broadly divided into two—paid survey sites and free survey sites. These survey sites keep sending surveys to your mailbox. Whenever you fill up one of these surveys, the company sponsoring the survey pays your survey site which in turn puts some money into your account. While paid services ask you to pay an initial and a monthly fee for receiving these services, free survey sites do not charge you for sending surveys to you. So the first thing that you should do in order to avoid paid cash survey scams is to sign up only with survey websites that do not ask you for payments of any kind.
However, we should also know that not all paid survey sites are scams and many of these websites ask members to pay because they provide you with more surveys than what free survey sites do. So you may actually want to join a paid survey site if you want to earn more. In order to check out whether a paid service company is legit and not a scam, you should check out a number of things. The company should have a registered office with a permanent brick and mortar address and not just a mail ID or a PO box number. Many scammers avoid being caught by remaining anonymous through using emails, PO boxes and fictitious registrations. So stay away from companies that do not provide a real name and address for an owner or proprietor. If you actually plan to pay a company for taking surveys then make sure that it is backed by a reputable company like Clickbank or Paypal etcetera.
Another thing that you need to pay attention to is the fine print that most of these websites use when talking about their policies, liabilities and disclaimers. In many cases, you will find that the details mentioned in the fine print are completely opposed to whatever is advertised in bold letters and flashing print on these websites. Avoid websites where the content of the fine print clashes with the ads like the plague since these are nothing but scammers who will cheat you and not even get caught because of all the clauses that they make you agree to. In the end, remember that the best way to avoid paid survey cash scams is by using only those sites whose services are absolutely free of cost.
